This article will guide you through setting up your first survey.
Read on to learn more about the survey types you can run with Survicate, and to create your first survey.
Step 1. Choose a survey type and start survey creation
In the main dashboard, click on the Create new survey button.
Pick how you'd like to continue creating this survey. There are four options to choose from. You can either set up a survey of your own (start from scratch), select a survey from our templates library (start from template), create a survey with AI, or import questions you prepared before.
Decide how you'd like to distribute the survey. Select the survey type you need and click Continue.
You can find a brief description of our survey types below.
Email or shareable link survey: Get shareable survey links or embed surveys directly inside emails.
Website or in-product surveys: Run targeted surveys on websites or in-product.
Mobile app surveys: Collect feedback from mobile app users inside iOS or Android apps.
In-platform surveys: Survey users directly via pop-ups launched from Intercom Messenger surveys or in a Braze in-App message campaign.
❗️Please note it's not possible to change the survey type once it's created, except for switching between a Website or in-product and a Braze In-App Message survey.
Selecting a survey from the templates library is great if you're looking for survey inspiration. Suppose you're still a bit unsure as to who to survey and which questions to ask, feel free to choose from a wealth of templates we provide.
Step 2. Add questions and design survey experience
If you decide to create a survey from scratch, you can add all questions via Add new question or Add question from library button.
Type in your questions, answers, and introduction.
💡 To make adding questions even easier and faster, start typing a question, and you'll find a list of suggestions to choose from. This way, you can use one of the hundreds of questions in four languages we prepared for your survey:
You can change the order of questions by dragging them into another spot, or duplicate and remove them after choosing the three dots icon:
Step 3. Send out or launch your survey
