To customize your survey to the next level, you can add a picture to your survey question by uploading it from your device.
Add images to questions
You can add an image to any question in your Email or Shareable link and Website or in-product surveys.
1. Go to a particular question's Settings ➡️ + Add image and upload or drag-and-dropping an image:
2. After selecting the image, optionally, add the Image description:
3. Click Save to add the image to your question.
❗️Files must be in JPG, JPEG, GIF, or PNG format and under 2MB.
Adjust the image's position
After uploading an image, you can:
decide whether the image should appear to all visitors, or only those seeing the survey on Mobile or Desktop devices,
decide on what side of the question it should be shown (Above or Under the text for Website or in-product surveys; Above, Under, or on the side of the text, either full height or not, for Email or Shareable link surveys) - this can be decided separately for Mobile or Desktop devices,
edit the image or its description,
remove image.
💡 Tip: when creating your survey and adding images in the Survicate panel, you can preview how the survey will look like on the right side of the Create tab.
To see the whole image, as a respondent will in a live survey, feel free to collapse the panel to get a better view, and check the preview for Mobile and Desktop devices:
Add images to answer options
You can also add images to the answer options or intro messages with HTML.
However, this method makes it impossible to add a file from your device. Instead, you can upload your picture to the Internet using image hosting and paste the link in the HTML tag.
To add an image, insert the following code to the question, introduction, or answer field:
<img src="INSERT A LINK TO YOUR IMAGE HERE">
You can also change the size of the image by adding width and height attributes:
<img src="INSERT A LINK TO YOUR IMAGE HERE" width="500" height="600">
📌 Please note that this feature is unavailable for Intercom messenger & Mobile SDK surveys.
🔧If your image isn't displayed in the survey, please try to right-click on your image, select 'Open image in a new tab' and copy the URL from that new tab into the survey.
