With Survicate mobile surveys, you can conduct mobile UX tests to find out who your users are. What is more, you can uncover their main pains, needs, and goals while using your mobile app. Survicate mobile surveys can help you:

Step 1. Create a mobile app survey
When you log in to your account, you'll see the panel where you can view all surveys you’ve created - active and inactive. To create a new survey, click on +Create new survey.
Pick how you'd like to continue creating this survey. There are three options to choose from. You can either set up a survey of your own (start from scratch), select a survey from our templates library (start from template), create a survey with AI, or import questions you prepared before:
Pick Mobile app survey from the menu and click Continue:
You can also click on Templates Library at the top of your dashboard and select the Mobile app survey type:
To guide you through creating a survey, we are going to create a survey from scratch.
Step 2. Add a new question
Start by adding your first question by selecting one of the question types:
You can change the copy of your question by clicking the copy bar; you can also include an introductory text by clicking Add introduction:
Step 3. Set up survey logic
Once you've added all your questions, create a personalized survey experience using survey logic. Select the question you'd like to set logic, move on to the Logic tab, and select the relevant questions you'd like to show your respondents based on their responses:
Step 4. Design your mobile survey theme and settings
Adjust your survey's look to your app by playing with the selector tools in the Design tab. Here, you'll find the standard theme for your survey or create your own theme.
💡 If you see a dark and light branded theme in your Mobile survey, these are created especially for you based on your website's colors:
You can also create your own theme. To do that, click on the New theme button:
2. On the left side, you will see the color selectors for your theme and give your theme a name. Name your theme and adjust the colors to your liking:
After clicking on Customization, you'll see options to add Company logo (on some of the plans), a Short text message, or an Avatar image:
📌 At the moment, it's not possible to enable the Company logo at the same time as the Short text message and Avatar image are enabled.
3. Once you are ready with your template, click Update Theme to save your settings:
4. Once you have finished the theme setup, click on Settings in the left sidebar for further installation. There, you'll see the Survey experience and Messages tabs:
The Survey experience section allows you to set up your survey appearance. You can switch between dialog and full-screen layout.
If you have version 2.0.0 or newer of our Mobile SDK, you can also decide if you'd like to show a Progress bar to let your respondents know what percentage of the survey they already completed. You can also Remove Survicate branding to make the survey more on-brand with your design.
📌 Removing Survicate branding is available on some of the plans.
The Messages tab allows you to change the text of your survey button for language flexibility:
Step 5. Translate your survey
You can use the Translations feature to create surveys in multiple languages in order to customize the experience for your respondents, increase response rates by ensuring your contacts see the survey in their language, and save time by creating just one survey instead of multiple ones for each language.
📌 This feature is available on some of our plans, starting from the SDK version 2.2.0, and only for standard mobile themes.
To add Translations to your Mobile survey, click here:
A pop-up window will appear where you can select which languages you want to have your survey in. You can select more than one at a time, or if you're unsure which ones you need, or you can select just one and always add more later. You can also choose if you'd like to add the languages manually or use Google Translate:

Frequently asked questions
Can I customize the design with Custom CSS?
Custom CSS is not supported on mobile surveys.
Can I use the same workspace for multiple mobile apps?
Yes, you can use one workspace for multiple mobile apps on different platforms.
Can I create surveys for a Dark Mode?
At the moment, there's no option to create a survey theme that would automatically adjust to your mobile app's dark mode.
