Targeting based on how many pages your visitors have seen on your page will let you segment your survey depending on the number of times a visitor has visited your website or product. You can include or exclude your visitors based on the number of pages they've seen.

Set up targeting based on visit frequency

1. Head on to Target > Audience:

2. Create a New Audience, then pick Visit Depth under the Add Filter button:

3. Here, pick whether you'd like to include or exclude the users with a specific visit depth:

4. Pick the number of pages your visitor has seen and click Create Audience:

To determine whether a visitor matches the visit-depth criteria to see your survey, we track URLs and save them in the session storage, making it session-based.

Session Storage only maintains data while the session is active, typically as long as the browser or tab is open.

  1. Only URLs with the Survicate tracking code installed will be counted as visited.

  2. In SPAs (Single Page Applications), changes in the URL (e.g., addition of '#') will also be counted as visits.

  3. Refreshing the page will also count as a visit.

Once the visitor closes the tab or the browser, session storage data is deleted.

πŸ’‘ You can also add more filters to a specific audience by clicking Add Filter.

❗️Remember! You have to enable the audience in order to display the survey properly!

πŸ“Œ If you have two or more audiences enabled, we trigger the surveys to all enabled audiences.
