Associate customer feedback with the right sessions, send survey responses as events and use them as filters

You can use Survicate and UXCam to:

  • Send Mobile survey responses as custom events to UXCam;

  • Jump to UXCam user sessions within Survicate;

  • Create custom user segments in UXCam based on survey responses and visualize what’s the experience like for happy customers and unhappy ones;

  • and more!

📌 Before you proceed, make sure you have installed our plugin to your mobile app.

Connect the UXCam integration

You can enable the integration either from your Survicate account settings or from a particular survey.

Log in to your Survicate account, head to SettingsIntegrations in the upper right corner, find UXCam on the list, and click enable.

OR

Navigate to the Connect tab of your Mobile survey's builder, find and click on UXCam:

and click Connect on the next page:

We'll then start sending Mobile survey responses to UXCam as survicate.Questionanswered events.

Anonymize survey answers

In the Settings tab of the integration, you can decide if you wish to anonymize survey answers from input fields sent to UXCam in events.

If you toggle the above option on, answers from input fields (Contact form question, Text answer question, and Comment fields added to questions) will be sent to UXCam with an empty value.

View events in UXCam

💡When a Mobile survey is answered, the event that we'll send to the connected UXCam account will contain the below properties:

  • Answer

  • Text of the question

  • Question type

  • Response URL

  • Response UUID

  • ID of the survey

  • Name of the survey

  • Visitor UUID

Once the respondent answers a Mobile survey, you will start receiving Survicate's custom events with the above properties in UXCam. Go to Events > List or Analytics:

If your UXCam account shows events from various apps, not just from Survicate, you can click on add a filter to only view data from your Survicate surveys:

If your survey has at least one Text answer question, you'll be able to jump right into the UXCam session from Survicate.

Once you get a new survey response, go to the Analyze tab in Survicate.

To see the corresponding data in UXCam, find the relevant text response and select View UXCam session in the Analyze > Overall results tab:

or click on View profile next to someone's survey submission:

Create segments in UXCam

Let's say you'd like to create a new segment in UXCam that will show you only new survey answers provided by unsatisfied customers.

1. To achieve this, go to Events, click on +Add filter and search for an answer:

2. Select the answer, based on which you wish to create a segment, and click Apply:

3. You'll see all events that currently match those rules. Click on Save as segment:

4. In the pop-up window that appears, decide on the segment's name, such as Unsatisfied customers, and who can access it.

🚀 This way, in the future, if you wish to check events sent based on negative responses, you won't have to apply a filter from scratch but simply select a segment from the dropdown under My segments:
