Connect Survicate to Gemini so it can access the feedback data stored in your Workspace directly from your Gemini chat.
In this article, we'll go through:
what you'll need before connecting,
how to connect (and disconnect) the Survicate MCP to Gemini,
how to make the most of the connection.
💡 New to Survicate MCP? Start with What is Survicate MCP?
Before you start
In Gemini, you add the Survicate MCP as a Custom app. Google currently offers custom apps only in the Gemini web app (gemini.google.com), with some requirements:
You use a personal Google account.
You're 18 or over, located in the US, and use Gemini in English.
Keep Activity is turned on in your Gemini settings.
📌 If you use Gemini with a work or school Google account, your Google Workspace admin controls which apps are available to you. Contact your admin to check whether they can make custom apps or the Survicate MCP available for your organization.
Connect the Survicate MCP
Go to gemini.google.com and sign in.
Open Settings ➡️ Connected Apps.
Under Custom apps, click the URL field or select Add a custom app.
Paste the Survicate MCP server URL:
https://mcp.survicate.com/
Click Next and follow the on-screen prompts.
Gemini opens a Survicate login window. Sign in and approve access to the correct Workspace. This makes sure Gemini only accesses the data, surveys, and feedback you have access to.
Once connected, Survicate MCP appears in your list of custom apps. 🚀
📌 To connect the Survicate MCP, you need a Survicate account with the User, Admin, or Owner role. Teammates with the Guest role can’t connect. Check your role in Settings ➡️ Teammates, or ask your Survicate Owner or Admin to change it. Learn more about user roles.
Using the Survicate MCP in Gemini
Now that you have Survicate MCP connected, you can ask Gemini questions about your customers and their feedback, and draft new surveys without leaving the conversation.
To make sure Gemini uses Survicate, type @ in your message and select Survicate MCP from the list.

Manage or disconnect the MCP
Go to Settings ➡️ Connected Apps and find Survicate MCP under Custom apps. Then:
Pause it: toggle the app off. You can turn it back on at any time.
Disconnect it: click More details ➡️ Disconnect. This revokes Gemini's access to your Survicate data but keeps the app in your settings.
Remove it: click More details ➡️ Remove app to delete the connection completely.
Troubleshooting
I don't see Custom apps in my Gemini settings
Check that you're using a personal Google account, that you're in the US with Gemini set to English, and that Keep Activity is turned on. If you're signed in with a work or school account, contact your Google Workspace admin.
