You can use Survicate and Drip to:

  • Automatically update lead properties with the survey responses data;

  • Create news leads/contacts and push them straight to Drip campaigns;

  • Create automated campaigns based on survey responses;

  • Build and send more targeted, segmented emails;

  • Track and maintain customer data for full context.

In this article, you can learn how to connect and configure your Drip integration. Once the setup is completed, you will be able to decide which answer we will send as a tag or contact field in real-time, create new leads based on our Contact form and use those data to engage your contacts in future campaigns.

πŸ“Œ Before connecting the integration, make sure your respondents will be recognized. It's necessary to collect respondents' information in order to pass data to the correct Drip contact.

Connect Drip integration

1. To enable Drip integration, go to the Connect tab of your survey, find, and pick Drip from the list of integrations.

2. Click the Connect button to set up the authorization.

3. A pop-up window will appear for you to log in to your Drip account. If you don't see the pop-up window, you may need to allow pop-ups in your browser - please look for the settings in your browser URL bar, or use instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, or Safari.

4. Now the integration is ready to use! See the features we offer for Drip integration under the settings:

Updating lead fields with survey answers

Once the integration is enabled, you'll be able to flow all survey responses into Drip as tags or contact fields. By doing so, you'll enrich subscriber profiles in Drip with invaluable survey insights.

1. Move to the Settings tab of Drip integration and select update lead fields.

2. Select the question you wish the update the fields from. To avoid flooding your Drip user profiles with data, we enable you to decide on a question level whether or not to send responses to Drip.

3. Select the prospect field from the list or add a new one by writing the name of the new field:

By default, Survicate is sending the content of an answer as the prospect field value, but you can change the label to make it shorter or to fit your data structure - click edit mapping to modify these values:

πŸ“ŒNote: We send the values mapped based on the response group for the NPS question. However, if you'd like to receive your numeric value, you can enable the "Send Answers as 0-10 values" toggle.

4. You can connect more questions to your integration by clicking βž•Connect another question and apply the same steps.

Creating new contacts with contact forms

1. To create a new contact in Drip from Survicate, add a contact form question to your survey with a required email field.

2. Under the Settings tab of Drip Integration, select Create new contacts and choose the contact form question from the dropdown.

3. Enable Create new contacts in Drip toggle.

πŸ“Œ If an email address already exists in Drip, we'll update the profile instead of creating a new contact

Sending answers as tags

1. Move to the Settings tab of Drip integration, and select Send tags

2. Select the question you wish the pass the tags to Drip.

πŸ“ŒPlease note that it's not possible to send tags in case of text answer questions. Consider using lead fields instead.

3. Assign tags to each answer using the tags field - you can use tags you already created or create new ones. You can assign multiple tags to your answers.

4. You can connect more questions to your integration by clicking βž•Connect another question and apply the same steps.

Testing the integration

Once you have your survey ready and integration set up, you can test it without leaving Survicate - click the Test Integration button next to any attribute or tag you've created. We will create a test user and send question answers in the format you selected.

You can view it by clicking Go to Drip:

You should see any responses sent to Drip on the user profile:
