With Survicate, you can choose to identify your respondents, but you can also decide to distribute anonymous surveys.
In this article, you'll learn what data about the respondents we collect.
An anonymous survey means that we do not know the respondents' classic Personally identifiable information (PII), such as name, date of birth, and e-mail address.
Here's data we collect with all surveys:
Respondent UUID stored in Local Storage. Assigned to each respondent, including those who answer questions in anonymous surveys.
IP address - Our infrastructure processes IP of survey respondents. IP addresses are automatically monitored to prevent the infrastructure from being vulnerable to e.g., DDoS attacks. What is important, Survicate does not store this information, i.e. it is processed live for the purposes of technical delivery of the service.
We also collect information about the respondents' operating system versions and device types.
In our opinion, the data from points 1-4 should not be qualified as "personal data" within the meaning of the GDPR because they do not have the value of sufficient identification of a natural person. However, the overall assessment of this GDPR formal question does not belong to Survicate (data processor), but to you as the data controller, taking into account the scope and method of data processing also on your side.
