By default, link and email surveys show one question per page.
With the Format tab, you can switch to One-page view and show all your survey questions on a single page instead.
The Email or Shareable link surveys now have two available format options:
Single-question view: the default format. Respondents see one question at a time and move through the survey page by page.
One-page view: all questions appear together on one page, and respondents submit everything at once.
This article explains the difference between the two formats, what changes in One-page view, and how to set it up.
How the One-page view works
Switching to One-page view changes how your survey looks and behaves in a few specific ways:
Logo: your company logo appears once, at the top of the page, instead of above each question.
Disclaimer: only one disclaimer can be added, and it sits at the bottom of the page.
Thank you screen: if you add a custom thank you screen, it always shows as a separate page after submission. If you don't add one, respondents will see the default Survicate thank-you screen instead.
Images: you can add images above or below a question, but not beside it.
AI follow-up questions: still available. Since there's a single Submit button for the whole survey, a follow-up is generated as soon as a respondent clicks out of a text field, rather than after a separate submit action.
Validation and submission: all answers are validated and sent together when the respondent clicks Submit.
Embedding the first question in the email's body: when you choose a One-page view format, in the embed section of your survey's Share tab, you will find a code to embed the survey in the email. It will show the first question in the email, and then take respondents to a new landing page to answer the whole survey.
❗️Clicking on the first question of the survey in the email will not save the response unless the respondent answers and submits the survey on a new landing page.
A few features aren't available in One-page view:
Logic: branch logic and display logic can't be set up.
Navigation: respondents can't go back to change a previous answer, since there's no concept of "previous" on a single page.
Progress bar: not shown, since the full survey is already visible on one page.
How to set up One-page view
Step 1. Open your email or link survey and go to the Create tab.
Step 2. Click the Format tab.
Step 3. Select One-page view:
❗️If your survey has logic set up, you'll see a confirmation message letting you know that logic will be disabled when you switch to One-page view.
If you switch back to Single-question view afterward, you'll need to set up logic again.
Step 4. Preview your survey on the right to check how it looks before sending it out.
Troubleshooting
My logic disappeared after switching views
Logic is disabled when you switch to One-page view, and it isn't restored automatically if you switch back to Single-question view. You'll need to set it up again.
I can't find the navigation or progress bar settings
These options only apply to Single-question view. Since One-page view shows the entire survey on one page, navigation between questions and a progress bar aren't needed.
